Turns out the SID had the steerer pre-cut (great job, really hard to notice) and while that was OK for the Marin it is too short for the Carbon. 
The Psylo will have to work for now until I decide on something else.

I had purchased a fox fork for the 27.5 and it was listed as suck. I recieved it and mounted the 27.5 wheel and guess what , kit was a 26 for. I contacted the idiot and he said his 27.5 wheel mounted on it…it was new
