So I’m putting the Marin back into use for my 15yo and needed to make some changes. Got a new XT 1x11 set and my old wheels/tires. Problem is the 2.3 tires rub the rear a bit on big turns. Got a 2.2 for it but getting the 2.3 off was such a bitch! I honestly went and snipped the bead to get the damn thing off. Then the 2.2 gave me issues setting the bead and I had to bungie around it to get a seal.
In the end, it’s done except for a new derailleur hanger because the current 23yo one is bent. I’ll post when I get a chance to snap some shots.
